Very helpful reviews 9 of 10 people found the following review helpful. Best laptop ever! By Ann M. Gillfillan This is really the best laptop ever. 64-bit OS, 4 gigs of RAM, large hard drive, incredibly fast CPU, very size of the screen, and easy! Not to mention the bronze color is really nice. The other two people said that they reviewed it back, because they can not see the buttons? Sure, the F1-F12 are very difficult to see. But back this great laptop because its hard to see that a function key "F1" is ridiculous! As long as you know how to count and used a computer before it is the best laptop! 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Great specification, poor design Rulings Sean I read some good reviews of this laptop. The only thing I found that had something negative to say was SK's review here on Amazon. And he is absolutely right. I also returned the HP notebook (which offered a credit of $ 70 to keep it, take note) There are three basic design issues, to me, makes this laptop useless. 1. Keyboard. The keys themselves are a bronze color and with the key symbol is black. This makes it virtually impossible to see what are the keys. An incredibly stupid design decision. After reading a review SK, I thought maybe the keyboard is backlit so it is easy to see that the keys are what. The keyboard is not illuminated. Even in a good light on his head, the keyboard is very difficult to read. I know I tried. 2. screen brightness. Gone are the days, apparently, when the laptop comes with a nice read in the eyes of a matte finish LCD. This laptop, like many I saw, has a highly reflective coating of plastic that completely covers the screen. Yes, it will protect the screen, but the reflections collected from all the sides and behind you are incredibly disturbing. If I wanted a mirror, I bought a mirror third tilt of the screen. The screen was not completely flat, like other laptops I had before. This goes back to about an angle of 120 degrees. Sometimes I use an external monitor with a laptop so I need something that can be flat and not in the way of the external screen, while I use the laptop keyboard in front of her. Questions # 2 and # 3 that maybe I could have lived with, but the main issue was a deal breaker for me. Really a shame since this laptop is ideal specification for a good price. HP, what were you thinking? I bought a Toshiba A305-S6916 instead. It has an almost identical specification to the DV5-1250us. It also suffers from problems # 2 and # 3, but was a bit cheaper. The small savings will be used to purchase a glare screen filter. Not much I can do about it is leaning. Oh, well. 1 of 1 people found this review helpful. AWESOME!
